30 days in Finland - Augustin Ehrensvärd

Today I wanna write about the architecture of the fortress on Suomenlinna. It was designed and built by Augustin Ehrensvärd, a Swedish military officer, military architect and artist. He tried to fit the buildings to the shape of the environment on the island. This lead to an extraordinary architecture of the fortress. Until his dead, designing and building the fortress was his major duty.
